3 Chic winter-to-spring shoes

The hardest transition for me from winter to spring season is my kicks!  Lord knows I have worn sandals when I should have worn boots or vice versa.  After much trial and error, here is my advice and tips on how to easily keep those toes warm on cold spring days and cool on the hot ones.

The Peep Toe Wedge:  I love this shoe.  And the best part …you can totally look like you have a fresh pedicure by painting only your first two toes ….ha ha ha.  Number one reason I love this shoe is because wedges are very easy and very comfortable to walk in and the peep toe allows your feet to say ‘hello world’, without fully committing to a strappy open toe wedge.  Look for neutrals which are perfect for the office.  All of these wedges can be found at dsw.com all under $100.

The Colored flat.  Mustard yellow, bright blue or fuchsia.  Flats are perfect because they don’t cover your entire foot like a boot, but rather allow a peep show of your sexy ankle.

The Ankle boot.  To create an edgy look wear this boot with a shorter dress.  If its a little chilly out top with either a blazer/scarf or leather jacket.  Pair these boots with ankle-skimming pants for an office look.

My favorite stores for spring shoe shopping:

Marshall’s; Cole Haan (their flats have Nike Air); TJMaxx; Nordstrom (& Nordstrom Rack); Lord & Taylors; BlueFly.com; Bloomingdale’s; Amazon.com; DSW and I am in love with Tory Burch flats
